Purple

For tolling applications, the MUTCD only permits the use of purple for toll lanes that use electronic tolling AND by registered toll road users. In other words, both conditions (electronic tolling and registration) MUST apply to use a sign with purple. The following table further clarifies the use of a purple sign by toll collection in a toll lane.
