Purple

For tolling applications, the MUTCD only permits the use of purple for toll lanes used by electronic tolling AND registered toll road users. In other words, both conditions (electronic tolling and registration) MUST apply to use a sign with purple. The table below clarifies the use of a purple sign by toll collection in a toll lane.
