Warrant History

  • When, who and how where the warrants developed? The MUTCD does not give reference or any discussion as to the significance of the warrants. For example what is significant about the numbers in the Warrant 1, Eight Hour Vehicle Volume Table?
  • If we can get contributors who either know or can research and locate documentation on the topic, then the relevant section of this wiki would be a great place to store and disseminate that information. I just skimmed my copy of the Traffic Control Devices Handbook 2nd edition (ITE) and it doesn't have any historical info. MUTCDWiki (talk) 19:29, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
